India and Pakistan have shared hostile relation between each other due to the growing political tension. The two teams have not played any bilateral series since 2012. Despite, the cricketers share a friendly relationship and recently star Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir heaped praise on India skipper Virat Kohli.

The world cricket has witnessed a few a nail-biting duel between Amir and Kohli. The Pakistan quick bowled an outstanding spell against India taking his side to the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017. Mohammad Amir troubled Virat Kohli with his swing and pace in that innings in England.

Despite all the battle inside the field, Kohli and Amir share a great bond. Kohli even gifted his bat to Pakistan’s best bowler ahead of the marquee clash at the Eden Gardens during the T20 World Cup 2016. Recently, during a live chat, Mohammad Amir picked the best batsman of the current generation.

“My overall favourite is Saeed bhai but if you talk about this era then it is Virat Kohli. There is no match to him in this era,” Amir said.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Amir recently copped a lot of blows retiring from Test cricket to everyone’s surprise. Teammate Wahab Riaz and current Pakistan bowling coach Waqar Younis criticised him badly for his decision while former Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur backed his decision.

The left-arm pacer will be a key campaigner for Pakistan for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 later this year in Australia if it at all happens. The No. 1 T20I side will hope to win the title and take the country’s cricket forward.
