Mohammad Irfan Rubbishes Rumours Of His Death On Social Media
Mohammad Irfan

Mohammad Irfan has confirmed that he is fine amidst rumours of his death circulating on social media. The Pakistan fast bowler has termed the reports as ‘fake’ and ‘baseless’ regarding his car accident. Irfan took to social media to state that there was no car accident and some social media outlets have been spreading baseless fake news.

The left-arm pacer also went on to urge not to spread such news as it had disturbed his family and friends. The 7ft tall fast bowler last played an international match against Australia in the T20I series last year. The news was fake and Irfan took no time and appealed everyone on not spreading such things on his Twitter account.

Irfan tweeted, “Some social media outlets have been spreading baseless fake news about my death in a car accident. This has disturbed my family and friends beyond words, and I have been receiving endless calls on this. Please refrain from such things. There was no accident and we are well”.

The 38-year-old fast bowler is the tallest ever cricketer to play in international cricket. Irfan made his debut against England in 2010. Since then he has represented his country in 4 Tests, 60 ODIs and 22 T20Is and has picked 10, 83 and 16 wickets in each format respectively. He posed all sorts of trouble with the height he possesses.

He was last seen playing in the Pakistan Super League earlier this year. Irfan represented Multan Sultans who were the first team to qualify for the PSL playoffs. Unfortunately, the T20 league wasn’t able to reach its conclusion and was postponed due to the coronavirus. Meanwhile, the organisers are mulling to complete the tournament when the curve flattens in the country.
