Former India skipper MS Dhoni shocked the world bidding farewell to international cricket on August 15 (Saturday). Since then, the entire country has gone into a state of shocking and is slowly coming terms with the decision. Meanwhile, it has also shocked the cricketers including KL Rahul, who said that they wish to give a big send-off to Dhoni.

Wanted to give Dhoni big send-off – Rahul
The legendary cricketer took to social media platform Instagram to disclose his decision. “Mein pal do pal ka shaayar hu…..,” said the song that played in the background of MS Dhoni’s retirement showreel.
As everyone tries to come to terms, KL Rahul said that they were in complete shock after the announcement. Rahul also said that everyone in the team wanted to give Dhoni a big send-off.
“It was quite shocking. I was honestly heartbroken. I’m sure all of us in the team or whoever has played under him and with him would have wanted to give him a big send-off and wanted him to play one more time so we could have had that opportunity to do something special for him. It is what it is,” Rahul told ESPNCricinfo.
Meanwhile, a demand for a farewell match has been going around ever since. BCCI is also planning to host a game after IPL to give Dhoni all the respect he deserves.
MS Dhoni is currently in Chennai gearing up for IPL 2020. He will leave for the UAE on August 21 to play the 13th edition of the cash-rich league. The Super Kings will be desperate to go all the way time after losing to Mumbai Indians in the finals last year.
