MS Dhoni’s family has been in Ranchi for about a week, spending quality time at his Simlia house. In the farmhouse of former India skipper, the yellow mustard crop is thriving this season and this mustard field on farmhouse’s 43-acre property is drawing people’s attention.
MS Dhoni himself was spotted visiting the mustard field, in a viral picture on social media. Along with Dhoni, his agricultural advisor Roshan can also be seen in the photograph.
Dhoni pays frequent visits to his farm residence and is often seen enjoying the fruits produced over there. Roshan explained that Dhoni is a fan of green vegetables and when he visits Ranchi, he exclusively eats those green veggies from the farm. Meanwhile, Mustard grown in Dhoni’s field is also serving as a ‘selfie point’. It is so beautiful that even the staff which works there likes to get pictures clicked in the field.

Roshan stated that Intercropping method has been used to plant the mustard crop in these fields. Intercropping involves planting many crops in the same field, resulting in higher yields. Pea plants have been sown between the mustard plants in this case.
Will Dhoni give CSK captaincy to Jadeja?
Prior to the mega-auctions for IPL 2022, teams were permitted to retain four players. CSK have retained Ravindra Jadeja (16 crore), Moeen Ali (8 crore), Ruturaj Gaikwad (6 crore) and MS Dhoni (12 crore). This season, it would be interesting to watch if Dhoni captains the team or not. He may hand up the leadership to Ravindra Jadeja, according to reports.
Jadeja took 13 wickets and scored 227 runs in the last edition, helping the team win their fourth title. He has been with the franchise for a long time and a good squad can be constructed around him with the help of Dhoni’s mentorship.
