Harbhajan Singh opens up on slapping Sreesanth

The fight between Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth is one of the most controversial incidents in the history of Indian Cricket. Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth after an IPL match in the 2008 season of the Indian Premier League.

Harbhajan Singh was the captain of Mumbai Indians in that match in absence of Sachin Tendulkar. While Sreesanth was representing Kings XI Punjab (now known as Punjab Kings). Sreesanth gave an aggressive sendoff to a Mumbai Indians batsman. Harbhajan didn’t like it and he slapped Sreesanth after the match.

Pictures of Sreesanth crying went viral on social media. Fans criticised the legendary spinner for his poor behaviour. Recently, Harbhajan Singh apologised in front of Sreesanth in a video chat on Glance Live Fest. Harbhajan revealed how this moment was embarrassing for him.

Harbhajan Singh accepted his mistake and described how his teammates had to face embarrassment. He said, “What happened was wrong. I made a mistake. Because of me, my teammate had to face embarrassment. I was embarrassed. “

“It should not have happened” – Harbhajan Singh regrets slapping Sreesanth

Harbhajan revealed that if he has to correct one mistake , it would be his behaviour with Sreesanth on the field. Both Harbhajan and Sreesanth have been part of the T20 WC and ODI WC winning campaign of the Indian team.

Harbhajan Singh said that his fight with Sreesanth shouldn’t have happened. The former Indian cricketer added: “If I had to correct one mistake, it was how I treated Sreesanth on the field. It should not have happened. When I think about it, I feel there was no need.”
