Nathan Lyon is relishing the contest against Rishant Pant in the 4th Test match at Brisbane. It was a fascinating contest between Pant and Lyon on day 5 of the third Test match. The fearless Rishabh Pant took Lyon to the cleaners and executed big strokes at will against him. However, the Australia off-spinner had the last laugh as he managed to dismiss Rishabh Pant on 97.

Now Lyon who is playing in his 100th Test at the Gabba is looking forward to bowling at Rishabh Pant again. Lyon has already picked the key wicket of Rohit Sharma and is now waiting for the battle against Pant. “The crowd’s been amazing, Rohit is a world-class player and tried to bowl him my best ball. It would’ve been nice to go out for dinner with everyone, including my parents but there are bubble restrictions. It was like a day 3 wicket yesterday, and there’s a nice crack outside off-stump so I’m trying to aim at that. Rishabh always tries to smash me so I’m looking forward to bowl to him, it’s always a great battle with him,” said Lyon during the rain-break on day 2.

“My natural line is Paine’s right glove, that’s about a foot outside off-stump, and there’s a nice crack on that line so hopefully I can get something out of that”, Lyon added.

Meanwhile, India is currently 62-2 after rain interrupted on day 2 and there was no play possible after the tea break. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara are currently batting and will be hoping to take India closer to the first innings total of the Aussies. The contest between Lyon and Pant will take centre stage on day 3 about which everyone is excited. ‘
