Following an impressive debut from Navdeep Saini, the lanky speedster has come under the scrutiny after been found guilty of violating the ICC Code of Conduct during the opening T20I against Windies. He has accepted his sanction and has pleaded guilty to the charge. Hence he has been left without any formal hearing.
The speedster was given an official warning by the match officials after he was found to have breached Article 2.5 of ICC’s Code of Conduct. Article 2.5 of ICC’s code of Conduct relates to players and personnel with actions and gestures which might provoke an aggressive reaction by the batsman after the charge has been removed.
After consistent performances in the domestic circuit and the IPL, Navdeep Saaini finally managed to break it to the national team and made his debut for India in the opening T20I against Windies at Florida.

He bowled a sensational opening over bagging two consecutive wickets. He also bagged the prized wicket of Kieron Pollard and bowled a wicket maiden in the final over of his spell. He finished with exceptional figures of 3/17 in his allotted 4 overs.
Meanwhile, during the match, it was onfield umpires Nigel Dugid and Gregory Brathwaite along with 3rd umpire Leslie Reifer who filed an official complaint against the 26-year-old fast bowler. The player subsequently accepted the mistake and accepted the charges which were levied against him. He had made a gesture after taking the wicket of Nicholas Pooran which was found to be against the code of conduct.
As it was his charge, the fast bowler was relieved with just a warning. He was handed a single demerit point. After a strong start to his career, Saini went for a few runs in the 2nd encounter as he conceded 27 runs in his 3 overs spell. Meanwhile, India has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3 march series and will look to complete a whitewash tomorrow.
