Between 2015 and 2018, cricket player George Worker of New Zealand played in two Twenty20 Internationals and ten One-Day Internationals (ODIs) for his country. Worker had several noteworthy moments despite playing in few games.

In 2015, during his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in Harare, he struck an impressive 62 off 38 balls, earning him Player of the Match honours. The same tour marked his ODI debut; he would go on to knock three half-centuries in the format.

A career high of 659 runs at an average of over 82 in 10 innings during the 2017 Ford Trophy was one of his best performances at home. He was recalled to the national squad in 2022 to replace Mark Chapman during a home series after this performance put him back on the selectors’ radar. He was unable, though, to increase his number of international caps.

Worker, a cricket player, is moving from the game to the corporate world at Forsyth Barr, an investment services company. Auckland Cricket is still in favor of his new endeavor despite their setback. The employee is happy to use his abilities in the financial industry and thanks his cricket career for the experiences and friendships he gained.
