A lot has been happening after the suspension of Zimbabwe from the ICC. The government intervention with the board was one of the primary reasons behind the suspension. With a lot of tournaments and bilateral series in store, this decision “shook” the cricketing world.
The ICC Women”s T20 qualifier will now see the Namibian team instead of Zimbabwe. The tournaments acts as a platform to gain a ticket to T20 World Cup in Australia next year.
Qualifiers will commence later this month in Scotland with eight teams participating in it. The Namibian side ended as the runners-up in the African qualifier thus making them represent the qualifiers sans hassles.

Nigeria men join T20 qualifiers
On the other hand, Nigeria men will be replacing Zimbabwe in the men”s qualifiers. They will now be joining the likes of Kenya and Namibia in the tournament.
Zimbabwe”s exit has turned out to be an emotional one for the cricketing fraternity. Few players have announced retirement while few of them offered to play for free.
The ICC is expected to meet in October and have a look at the process of Zimbabwe Cricket. Depending upon the situation, they might reconsider to give another chance.
