The Nepal Premier League (NPL) T20 cricket tournament is set to provide a significant incentive for its top-performing Nepali cricketer: a brand-new car. This exciting announcement came as Omoda & Jaecoo Nepal joined the NPL as co-sponsors.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Paras Khadka, Secretary of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), and Gaurav Sharda, Director of SPG Automobiles Private Limited, during a function in Kathmandu. SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Omoda & Jaecoo Automobiles, will be providing the car.
Sharda expressed hope that this collaboration would boost Nepali cricket development and help elevate its profile. Khadka echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the partnership’s role in recognizing and motivating local cricketing talent.
NPL Broadcast Rights Secured
Fans of the Nepal Premier League will have multiple viewing options for the tournament, scheduled from November 30 to December 16 at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Action Sports, in collaboration with Brand Digital Logiq, has secured the YouTube streaming rights for online audiences.
The matches will also be broadcast live on television through Star Sports. This move aims to broaden the league’s viewership and bring Nepali cricket to a global audience.
The agreement for streaming rights was formalized between Brand Digital Logiq and Dish Media Network. By ensuring both digital and televised coverage, the organizers aim to enhance the tournament’s accessibility and popularity.

The Nepal Premier League continues to make strides in boosting cricket in the country. From unveiling the league trophy at Dharahara to roping in international and local players, the tournament promises high-quality cricketing action.
