Former New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor feels Mohammed Siraj is going to succeed all around the world. He expressed that the Team India pacer continues to improve at the international level. Mohammed Siraj was recently part of India’s series win against New Zealand. He was the leading wicket-taker in the series.
The right-arm pacer picked up a four-wicket haul in the third T20I on Tuesday, November 22 in Napier. He finished the series with six wickets in two matches, at an average of 6.83 and an economy rate of 5.12. During a discussion on Espncricinfo, Ross Taylor expressed that Mohammed Siraj is going to be successful all over the world. He said,
“There has been some talk about Siraj being one-dimensional and the way he goes about it. I think he continues to improve. And the pace is an asset. You need those bowlers who can bowl 140 plus. I think he is going to succeed everywhere around the world, and not just on wickets that bounce.”
Arshdeep Singh is already a class performer: Ross Taylor
Former New Zealand cricketer Ross Taylor also praised pacer Arshdeep Singh. He expressed that Arshdeep still has to improve, but added that the pacer is a class performer. Taylor also opined that both Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh will be a part of Team India in the 2024 T20 World Cup. The legendary cricketer said,
“Arshdeep Singh continues to improve. The way he swings the ball, once again getting that early wicket of Finn Allen, how he swung it back. The dismissal was very similar to how Shaheen Afridi got Finn Allen out in the semi-final. I feel he still has to improve a bit, but he is already a class performer.”
“I think they are both good finds for India going forward. The next World Cup is in two years, and I think these two have to be there. Add Jasprit Bumrah to the mix, and it’s a very potent attack,” he added.
