Pakistan Super League: Teams and its squad: The draft for the new T20 league introduced by PCB, the Pakistan Super League was staged for two days. 5 franchises got a go to pick players at the event – Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators. Pakistan T20 skipper Shahid Afridi was the first player to be picked in the draft, went to Peshawar Zalmi.
Kevin Pietersen was the costliest of the buys as he was picked up for a staggering fee of £94,000 by Quetta Gladiators. Second on that list was Luke Wright who was also picked up by the same franchise for a whopping £47,000.
Star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo and his West Indies teammate Chris Gayle will be part of Lahore Qalandars. Bangladesh seam bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman will also play for the same franchise.
Younis Khan, Ian Bell, James Anderson were notable omissions in the draft.
