“Practised That Shot In The Room”: Ravindra Jadeja Reacts as Yashasvi Jaiswal Smashes First-Ball Six
Ravindra Jadeja X Jaiswal

Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is set to represent Rajasthan Royals once again in the IPL after a gap of 17 years. The 36-year-old from Jamnagar, Gujarat, began his IPL journey with the Jaipur-based franchise in 2008 and played a key role in their title-winning campaign under Shane Warne during the inaugural season.

He rejoined the Royals from Chennai Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2026 auction through a trade deal that also involved Sanju Samson and Sam Curran. Expected to play a major role for the Royals this season, Jadeja joined the team camp in Jaipur a few days ago and has been actively training with his teammates.

In a recent practice session, he bowled to India and RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was seen smashing a massive six off his delivery in a video shared by the franchise on X. After Yashasvi Jaiswal launched a six off the very first ball of his opening training session for IPL 2026, Ravindra Jadeja delivered a hilarious response.

In a clip that has now gone viral, Jadeja joked, “Yeh toh room mein practice karke aaya hai.”

With Sanju Samson moving to Chennai Super Kings for the 2026 season, added responsibility will rest on Jaiswal’s shoulders. The left-hander will be eager to step up and deliver big performances for the Riyan Parag-led side.

The Royals will kick off their IPL 2026 campaign against Chennai Super Kings at Barsapara Cricket Stadium on March 30, before facing Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium on April 4. Their third and fourth matches will be held in Guwahati against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 7 and April 9, respectively.
