Preity Zinta has become the owner of Stellenbosch Monarchs at inaugural T20 Global League to be played in South Africa from 3rd November to 16th December. In this tournament, there are 8 teams participating with top players of the T20 format in it. Zinta is the Co-owner of Kings XI Punjab side of Indian Premier League.
Cape Town Knight Riders are owned by Shahrukh Khan. In the IPL, the superstar bought Kolkata Knight Riders. GMR has bought Johannesburg Giants while in the IPL, they have bought Delhi Daredevils.
Stellenbosch Monarchs has Faf du Plessis, Lasith Malinga, and Alex Hales as top class players in their squad while coached by Stephen Fleming and Eric Simmons as the assistant coach.

She is also very passionate about the sport and I am sure local fans will have an awesome time at Boland Park.”
Stellenbosch Monarchs matches will be played at Paarl Stadium. Each venue will host seven league matches before the final would take place on 16th December at Johannesburg.
“We found it quite difficult to get to actual numbers because it”s the first year of the tournament and we knew we were going to have to use some modeling as to what to expect going forward,” Mushtaq Brey, Brimstone”s CEO said. “When we did all the numbers, we decided not to go ahead with the investment.”
This tournament gives a chance for the local South African players to showcase their talent to the world and also make a name for themselves with big crowds coming. Preity Zinta has supported Kings XI Punjab side for a long time in IPL history.
It promises to be an exciting tournament in South Africa as many top T20 players will look to perform and entertain the crowds.
