Prithvi Shaw responded for the first time on his suspension from cricket till November 15, 2019. An emotional Shaw described the struggles he faced after sustaining in injury in a practice game in Australia last year. He said that he was on the efforts of coming back but this news has upset him.
Shaw also said that he took some cough syrups battling his severe cold and cough issues during the Indian domestic T20 tournament. However, he admitted that wasn”t aware of the protocol to be followed during medical consumption.
“I didn”t follow the protocol of being careful in consuming a basic over the counter cough syrup”, said Shaw.
He urged other members of the sports fraternity to be very cautious while consuming any drug during illness. Prithvi Shaw also mentioned that sticking to a protocol during this process is one important thing to be kept in mind. He thanked all his healthy circles for his rise in cricket including the BCCI and Mumbai Cricket.

Shaw -What”s next?
Shaw now will not be under scanner by the selection committee till mid-November. This ultimately would take him away from the home series against the Proteas and Bangladesh. While Prithvi had one of his best years in 2018, 2019 is haunting him with injuries and setbacks.
He will also not be able to represent any domestic game during the specified period.
