Rajasthan Royals have been dealt with another blow after fast bowler Andrew Tye has left the IPL 2021 bubble and left for Australia earlier today. The franchise have suffered massive setbacks with Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer ruled out with injuries while Liam Livingstone pulled out of the tournament citing bubble fatigue.
It will be a massive blow with Rajasthan Royals struggling to find ground in the ongoing tournament. Ben Stokes sustained a broken finger during their IPL 2021 opener against Punjab Kings. He underwent surgery and will require at least 12 weeks to recover and return to the cricket field. On the other hand, Jofra Archer will not be fit in time to take part in the 14th edition of the competition due to an elbow injury. Another English batter Liam Livingstone also pulled out after remaining almost 10 months in the bubble.
Andrew Tye pulls out of IPL 2021
The franchise is yet to comment on the same and the reason is also unknown. The tall and lanky fast bowler has reportedly left the bubble today morning and traveled back to his country – Australia.
Meanwhile, the Purple Cap winner of 2018 – Andrew Tye has not featured in the single games this season as the franchise showed trust in the abilities of all-rounder Chris Morris and Mustafizur Rahman. Last season, Tye played only one game picking a solitary wicket at an economy rate of 12.5, and subsequently had to warm the benches.
Rajasthan Royals currently sit in the sixth spot with two wins from five matches. After a poor start to the campaign, they managed to bounce back with a couple of wins. Next up, they play Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi on April 29 (Thursday).
