The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has received widespread applaud for successfully conducting the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) amid coronavirus outbreak. Team India head coach Ravi Shastri took to Twitter to congratulate BCCI office-bearers; however, ignored President Sourav Ganguly.

Meanwhile, amid the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, it looked almost impossible to host IPL 2020. BCCI had to postpone the tournament twice from March, but BCCI President Sourav Ganguly didn’t rule it out. After tireless work from BCCI along with the Emirates Cricket Board, the organisers finally pulled off the tournament, which was a grand success.

The tournament saw Mumbai Indians defend their title beating Delhi Capitals in the final of IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Rohit Sharma & Co chased down 157 runs quite convincingly to lift their 5th IPL title. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan produced stellar efforts with the bat after Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah helped Mumbai restrict them to a small total.

Team India head coach Ravi Shastri also took to microblogging site Twitter to thank BCCI secretary Jay Shah and IPL governor Brijesh Patel and the medical team for hosting the tournament.

In a significant manner, Ravi Shastri overlooked Sourav Ganguly in that congratulatory post. It once again ignited Shastri’s tumultuous relationship with the former India skipper which dates back to many years.

“Take a BOW JayShah, Brijesh Patel, hemangamin and the medical staff of the BCCI for pulling off the impossible and making it a Dream IPL,” Ravi Shastri tweeted.
