The bowlers dominated the second day of the second Test between India and New Zealand as 16 wickets fell at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. But when the day ended, India were tottering at 90 for six, leading by 97 runs and on the verge of another defeat. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja grabbed one of the best of all-time to dismiss Neil Wagner, leaving the fan shell shocked.
India were sensational with the ball in the morning. They came out with a lot of intensity and made the ball talk. Post-lunch was good too, but a 51-run gutsy stand between Kyle Jamieson and Neil Wagner got New Zealand closer and now the hosts have a good grip of this contest. Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers for the way he steamed in and bowled at pace. Special mention to flying Ravindra Jadeja as he took a stunning left-handed catch to get Wagner.

During New Zealand innings, Ravindra Jadeja grabbed a breathtaking catch to put curtains on Neil Wagner's 41-ball vigil. Wagner took on a 140ks short ball from outside off and pulls despite getting rushed on his swivel movements across the stumps. It skewed off the splice of the bat and Jadeja pulls off a miracle running back from square leg. He leapt up as high as he can, puts his left hand up and grabs it one-handed with great control.
The catch garnered a lot of reaction as the scenes were unreal and both the batter and the fielder were stunned by the turn of events. Ravindra Jadeja sounded extremely humble while reacting to the catch saying that it stuck on his hands and he didn't even realise when grabbed the catch.

"I was expecting him (Wagner) to score towards deep square leg. But I didn't expect the ball to come at that pace. It came so quickly with the wind and I just stuck my hand out. I didn't even realise when I took the catch. We bowled well as a unit. We will look to bat well and bowl them out again," Ravindra Jadeja said during the innings break.
New Zealand have swung this in their favour in the last half an hour. Kyle Jamieson and Neil Wagner set the tone with a barrage of bouncers while Trent Boult went away with three wickets. Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw hardly tested the bowlers. Virat Kohli's shocking tour ended with a nip-backer from Colin de Grandhomme while Cheteshwar Pujara showed application and fought hard, but India went into a bubble and let New Zealand bowl to their plans to have their opponents at 90 for six and strive for another defeat.
