Afghanistan and Team India will face off in the Super-8 encounter on June 20 in Barbados. The Indian squad worked on run-out drills on Wednesday in preparation for the game. Sweep shot practice was observed between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Star batsman Rishabh Pant, though, was conspicuously absent from the practice, making him a critical participant.

It is yet unknown why the person was absent. Since Rishabh Pant is playing well right now, the Indian team management would be hoping that the batsman and wicketkeeper stay fully fit for the important match against Afghanistan.

Right now, in the upcoming T20 World Cup, he leads India in runs scored. Rishabh Pant has amassed 96 runs in three games despite batting at number three, but no other Indian batsman has even come close to reaching the 70-run threshold thus far.

In India’s opening match of the competition, the Delhi player struck an undefeated 36 against Ireland following a half-century against Bangladesh in the warm-up. Before being out for eighteen against the United States, he responded with a vital 42-run blow during the 6-run victory over Pakistan.

In a video of the practice that they posted, Star Sports said that Rishabh Pant‘s absence was the only thing that separated it from the Monday session.

Pant might have decided to take a break because the training session was voluntary. However, supporters are frightened and making assumptions that Pant might be hurt as a result of his absence.

In the current T20 World Cup, Rishabh Pant leads India in runs scored. With three games played and batting at number three, Pant has scored 96 runs, while no other Indian batsman has even reached the 70-run milestone.

When Team India plays Afghanistan in their opening Super 8s match, they will be hoping to keep up their winning streak. India is in Group 1 with Australia, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.

India will be trying to avoid any mistakes against Afghanistan, as two of the four teams need to make it to the semifinals. The match is set to take place in Barbados on Thursday, June 20.
