RJ Mahvash extended her congratulations to Yuzvendra Chahal following his outstanding bowling performance in the IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The match, held on Tuesday, April 15, saw PBKS edge out KKR by 16 runs in a tense, low-scoring contest.
Defending a modest total of 111, Chahal—who hadn’t been in top form earlier in the season—rose to the occasion and delivered a match-winning spell. His efforts were instrumental in bowling KKR out for just 95, setting a new IPL record for the lowest total ever defended.
Having previously been spotted cheering for Chahal and PBKS at an earlier game this season, RJ Mahvash took to Instagram after the win. She shared a story featuring a photo of herself with Chahal and praised him for his brilliant performance.
“What a talented man. Highest wicket-taker of IPL for a reasonnnn!!,” she wrote in her story.

As Mahvash pointed out, Chahal holds the record as the all-time leading wicket-taker in IPL history, with 211 wickets from 166 matches. He is also the only bowler to have surpassed 200 wickets in the league’s history.
Chahal spins a match-winning spell in Punjab’s historic IPL 2025 win
Defending a modest 111 runs, PBKS needed brilliance to clinch the win, and Yuzvendra Chahal, one of their senior players, delivered when it mattered most. He bowled an exceptional spell, finishing with figures of 4/28 from his four overs.
Chahal took crucial wickets, including KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh. For his outstanding performance under pressure, Chahal was named Player of the Match. This performance will boost his confidence for the rest of the tournament, much to the joy of the Punjab Kings.
