Team India captain Rohit Sharma and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah visited the Siddhivinayak Temple with the T20 World Cup trophy today, August 21. Men’s T20 World Cup, which was held last year in West Indies and America saw awesome victory for Team India. They managed to maintain a clean slate throughout both rounds i.e. group of four teams as well as ‘super eights’ phases.

Rohit Sharma last played in the ODI series against Sri Lanka

Arising to fame with his second Men’s T20 World Cup trophy, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma decided to end his career in T20 Internationals alongside Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.

His last appearance as the leader of Team India was in a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. However, he scored the most runs for them during the series and yet could not help them win as they lost 0-2 to Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma will miss the Duleep Trophy because he has been rested by selectors who want him back in time to face Bangladesh on September 19 for the first Test at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
