According to The Indian Express report, selectors decided to honor Gautam Gambhir’s plea of enlisting the services of the seasoned pair because this shall be his maiden series as the Head Coach for Team India.
India will participate in a three-match T20I series accompanied by a three-match ODI series within Pallekele and Colombo. In the latest report provided, it has been stated the selectors have left aside the main pace bowler for India Jasprit Bumrah and he will not take part in the upcoming short series.
The primary all-rounder of Indian cricket team is only going to participate in the three games of T20I series and won’t feature in any fifty-over game. Moreover, Rishabh Pant will probably be among the players chosen in both T20I as well as ODI sides according to recent reports.
