Team India opener Rohit Sharma has attained his career-best ranking in the latest released ICC Test Rankings on February 28 (Sunday) on the back of his sublime form in the longest format of the game. Ever since he was promoted to the top-order, Rohit has looked consistent with the bat.
Rohit Sharma has climbed six positions to secure his career-best eighth spot in the ICC Test Rankings for batsmen. The batsman from Mumbai played a crucial role in India’s historic win in the Day and Night Test match against England at Motera. Rohit top-scored for the hosts in the 1st innings (66) and remained not out on 25 to help India thrash England by 10 wickets.

On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin scalped his 400th Test wicket in the penultimate clash of the bilateral series. Indian spinner Ashwin and Axar Patel played instrumental roles in turning the 3rd Test into a low-scoring affair at the world’s largest cricket stadium.
Banking on his bowling exploits, Ashwin has bagged the third spot in the ICC bowling rankings. The off-spinner from Tamil Nadu moved four positions in the Test rankings as Team India’s quickest bowler to 400 wickets has now taken the third spot.
