Rohit Sharma Selects Two Mumbai Indians Players To Follow Bumrah and Hardik’s Footsteps

Tilar Varma and Nehal Wadhera are expected to follow in the footsteps of players like Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, according to Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. He also predicted that they will be “huge stars” for Team India over the next two years.

While Tilak made a name for himself with his batting prowess last season when he scored, the youngster played 14 games for MI. He was one of the team’s most reliable run scorers during a trying time for the five-time IPL champions.

Tilak scored 397 runs in IPL 2022, but this year’s injury-restricted schedule only allowed him to play in 9 games. He now has 274 runs before Mumbai Indians’ 2023 Eliminator match against Lucknow Super Giants.

Similarly, Nehal Wadhera was the most recent talent MI discovered earlier this season. The all-rounder has played 12 games for the team, scoring 214 runs with an average of 30 points per game.

Two Mumbai Indians players have been selected by Rohit Sharma as “Huge Stars for MI, Team India” to follow in Bumrah and Hardik’s Footsteps.

Two Mumbai Indians players were encouraged by Rohit Sharma to develop into “superstars” for Team India

”Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera’s story will be comparable to that of Hardik, Krunal and Bumrah”, according to Rohit Sharma. ”People will comment that this is a superstar team”.

The two young players have Rohit’s support as they look to follow in the footsteps of players like Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, who previously had outstanding seasons with the Mumbai Indians and later made their Team India debuts.

“Honestly, it will follow the same plot as what happened to Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and all of these guys. With men like Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera, the same thing will transpire”.

Watch the next two years; when that time comes, people will be saying, “Arey ye toh superstar team hai (they’re a team full of superstars),” said Rohit to Jiocinema.

”They are trained and these guys are being scouted. These two men will become huge stars for both us and India”, he continued.

While Wadhera is expected to be in the starting XI and Tilak is doubtful for the LSG match due to injury. Both players will be hoping to help Mumbai Indians defeat Lucknow for the first time in IPL history. It is unclear if Tilak will be able to recover in time for the Eliminator.
