India‘s Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh attended the NBA preseason opener between the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, where the Celtics triumphed 107-103.

“His teammates connect with him very well”– Harbhajan Singh expressed his belief that Rohit Sharma is a better captain than MS Dhoni

Rohit Sharma has garnered widespread acclaim for his leadership. The 37-year-old captained India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, bringing an end to an 11-year ICC trophy drought.

Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh recently claimed that Sharma is a superior captain compared to MS Dhoni. In an interview with Sports Yaari, he elaborated on his reasoning:

“I chose Rohit above Dhoni because Rohit is people’s captain. He goes up to the people and asks them what they want. His teammates connect with him very well. But Dhoni’s style was different. He didn’t talk to anyone. He wanted to convey his thoughts through his silence. It was his way of communicating with others.”

Sharma has the opportunity to make history by leading India to their first-ever World Test Championship title. The team is currently at the top of the standings in the ongoing cycle, boasting 98 points and a 74.24 points percentage.
