With the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya approaching soon, the iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been extended an invitation to grace the event with his presence. This marks him as the second cricketer, following Virat Kohli, to be honoured with such an invitation for the significant ceremony.

Scheduled for 22 January, the inauguration of the temple is anticipated to be a momentous occasion, with esteemed guests like Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance. The list of invitees extends beyond the realms of sports and politics, encompassing luminaries from the entertainment industry.

Renowned figures such as Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rajinikanth, Manmohan Singh, Dhanush, Mohanlal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Prabhas, Yash, and Arun Govil have received invitations. Furthermore, leading industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Ratan Tata, Gautam Adani, and TS Kalyanaraman are also among the distinguished invitees.

The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has meticulously dispatched over 6,000 invitation cards nationwide for the grand consecration ceremony of ‘Ram Lalla’. This expansive guest list underscores the magnitude and significance of the event, reflecting a collective reverence for Lord Ram and the cultural heritage associated with Ayodhya.

Reports suggest that the temple town is bracing for an influx of over a lakh devotees to witness the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony on 22 January. This ritualistic ceremony holds profound spiritual significance, as it involves the consecration of a murti (idol) through the chanting of holy hymns and mantras, invoking the deity’s presence within the temple precincts.

The preparations for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony are meticulously planned, commencing with Vedic rituals on 16 January, a week preceding the primary ceremony. The esteemed priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, is entrusted with performing the pivotal rituals on 22 January, invoking divine blessings for the temple and its devotees.

Notably, Ayodhya will be immersed in the Amrit Mahotsav festivities from 14 to 22 January, marking a jubilant and spiritually enriching period for the devotees and attendees alike.
