IPL 2021: Sanju Samson Hilariously Snubs The Match Referee And Keeps The Coin In His Pocket At The Toss

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson had a comical start to his IPL captaincy career at the toss just before the match against Punjab Kings. For the first time in his career, Samson is leading the Rajasthan Royals and he seemed pretty excited about it at the toss. Samson was the home captain today in Mumbai which is why he gave the coin a flip and even ended up winning the toss.

Sanju Samson Hilariously Keeps The Coin In His Pocket After Winning The Toss

Samson was elated after winning the toss and decided to keep the coin in his pocket which even surprised the match referee. The match referee was about to pick the coin but Samson quickly kept it in his pocket before interacting with Micheal Slater. The new RR skipper probably now considers it his lucky coin or wanted to keep it with himself as which will remind him of his IPL captaincy debut. Most probably Samson will again come with the same coin next time he comes at the toss against in IPL 2021.

After winning the toss Samson had no hesitation in opting to bowl first at the Wankhade stadium which is an extremely difficult ground to defend. The Rajasthan Royals bowlers will now be looking to restrict Punjab Kings to a target of around 180 which will be a par score at the venue. Currently, Punjab Kings are 92 for 2 after the end of 10 overs with skipper KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda at the crease. Meanwhile, Samson left everyone in splits with his antics at the toss and here is the video of it.
