India cricketer Sanju Samson’s wife, Charulatha Remesh, gave fans a social media update on Thursday, August 21, regarding her husband. Earlier that day, Samson was spotted at a hospital with medical strips on his hand. Despite this, he took the field later that evening to play in the second match of the Kerala Cricket League 2025 for the Kochi Blue Tigers (KBT).
The Blue Tigers won the toss and chose to field, sending the Adani Trivandrum Royals (ART) to bat. The Royals struggled throughout their innings and were bowled out for just 97 runs in 20 overs. Chasing the modest target, KBT won comfortably by eight wickets with 49 balls remaining.
Saly Viswanath starred with an unbeaten 50 off 30 balls, striking five fours and three sixes. After the match, Charulatha posted an Instagram story highlighting that while Samson had been in the hospital at 3 pm, he was actively involved in a runout on the field by 8 pm during Kerala’s T20 league encounter. She wrote:
“My boy.”
The Kochi Blue Tigers are set to play their second match on Saturday, August 23, facing the Alleppey Ripples at Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield International Stadium.
Sanju Samson Selected In India’s 15-Member Squad For 2025 Asia Cup
Kerala’s Sanju Samson has earned a spot in India’s squad for the 2025 Asia Cup. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the 15-member team on Tuesday, August 19. The tournament is set to start on September 9, with Suryakumar Yadav’s team drawn in Group A alongside Pakistan, Oman, and host nation UAE.
