Yuzvendra Chahal has set IPL 2022 on fire. His stint with new team Rajasthan Royals has been great so far. He is currently the Purple cap holder with 18 wickets in seven games. The performances of the leg-spinner might have made Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) regret their decision of releasing him.
The Royal Challengers’ loss has been Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) gain. In tandem with Ravichandran Ashwin, Chahal is wreaking havoc on the opposition batters. He even took a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and ended up with figures of 5/40 in a high-scoring encounter.

Yuzvendra Chahal bought a Porsche Cayenne S in November 2019. The car has a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine which can unleash a maximum power of 434 bhp . It can sprint from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in just 4.7 seconds and achieve a peak speed of 262 kmph. The car lies in the price range of 1-1.6 crores. Chahal’s car collection also includes Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz etc.

Chahal is often seen exploring different parts of India and the world with his wife Dhanashree Verma, who is a Dancer, Dentist and Youtuber. Beautiful beaches and Blue skies are a standard backdrop of their lovely pictures on social media. The couple tied the knot on December 22, 2020.
IPL Salary
Yuzvendra Chahal got his first IPL contract from Mumbai Indians in 2011. He was signed for a price of INR 10 Lakhs. He received the same amount in the next 2 years. In 2014, Chahal was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore. For the first four seasons with RCB, Chahal’s salary was again INR 10 Lakhs/year.
Chahal got a huge increment in 2018. RCB used their RTM card in the auctions to retain his services for INR 6 crores. Till 2021, his salary was the same. Ahead of IPL 2022 auctions, Chahal was surpisingly released by RCB. In the auctions, Rajasthan Royals signed him for INR 6.5 crores. Overall in twelve seasons, he has earned INR 31.2 crores from the cash-rich league.
BCCI Contract
The 31-year-old Yuzvendra Chahal is currently a part of the Grade C list (INR 1 Crore) of BCCI’s Central Contract 2022 for Indian cricketers.
Brand Endorsements
The 31-year-old has been the face of several brands across various fields. Some of those brands are the fantasy cricket app called Playing11, contact-lens brand Acuvue, the sporting-equipment brand Nike, India’s Largest Dental Chain- Clove Dental, Mobile company- Oneplus, fintech company BharatPe, Short video app- MX TakaTak and many more.

Charity Work
Chahal indulged in various charity events during the lockdown to raise funds during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chahal played live charity chess matches with the likes of Viswanathan Anand and other iconic players.
It should be noted that Yuzvendra Chahal has represented India in the World Youth Chess Championships. He is a former U-12 national Chess champion. Chahal donated INR 95,000 for Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma ketto relief fund, during the COVID second wave in India (2021).
