A video circulated on social media this week, showing Pakistan players loading their luggage into a truck upon arriving in Australia. The footage depicted the players assisting the luggage crew with their kit bags.

Despite facing criticism, with fans attributing the situation to mismanagement by officials, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi clarified that the players were helping each other due to a tight schedule. With the next flight scheduled in about 30 minutes, the players aimed to save time.

“We only had 30 minutes to catch our next flight and we helped because there were just two people. We wanted to wrap it up fast and to save time,” Shaheen said reporters at the Manuka Oval.

The Pakistan cricket team reached Australia on Friday for a three-match Test series, beginning in Perth on December 14.

Following a disappointing World Cup in India, there have been significant changes for the Pakistan cricket team. Star batter Babar Azam resigned as captain in all formats, and the entire management team that was with the team during the World Cup in India was let go.

Shan Masood will captain the Test team, while Shaheen Afridi will lead the T20I team.

In the management roles, Mohammad Hafeez has been assigned as the Director of Cricket, and former pacer Wahab Riaz is now the chairman of selectors.

Before the series, Afridi mentioned that the team aims to disrupt David Warner’s farewell series, as reported by Geo News, “We would wish him good luck but we are not hoping for a good end for David Warner in his last Test series against us.”

The much-awaited three-game Test series is set to commence on December 14 at Optus Stadium in Perth. Subsequent matches will take place in Melbourne and Sydney for the second and third Tests, respectively.
