Pakistan‘s star pacer, Shaheen Afridi, has regained the No.1 position in the latest ICC Men’s ODI bowler rankings. The left-arm fast bowler made significant progress, claiming eight wickets in three matches against Australia, helping Pakistan secure their first series victory in Australia since 2002.
Afridi moved up three spots, surpassing South African spinner Keshav Maharaj, who dropped to third. This marks Afridi’s return to the World No.1 ranking for the first time since the 2023 ODI World Cup. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan held on to the second position.
Alongside Afridi’s rise, Haris Rauf moved up 14 places to 13th as the series’ top wicket-taker, while Naseem Shah climbed 14 spots to joint 55th. Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan Miraz rose nine places to joint 23rd, and West Indies’ Gudakesh Motie climbed to 14th in the latest ICC Men’s ODI bowler rankings.
In the batting rankings, Pakistan’s Babar Azam extended his lead at No.1 after scoring 80 runs against Australia. Skipper Mohammad Rizwan also improved by two spots, reaching joint 23rd following his 74-run performance in Australia.
Other notable movers include Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, who rose 11 places to joint 23rd, and Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai, who climbed two spots to joint 31st.
In the latest ICC Men’s ODI all-rounder rankings, Afghanistan’s veteran Mohammad Nabi strengthened his position at No.1, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Azmatullah Omarzai climbed four and two places, moving to fourth and ninth, respectively.

Nicholas Pooran enters the T20I top 10, with Sanju Samson and Varun Chakaravarthy rising in the rankings
West Indies’ wicketkeeper-batter Nicolas Pooran moved up one place to 10th in the latest ICC Men’s T20I batters’ rankings, while England’s Phil Salt and captain Jos Buttler each climbed one spot to second and sixth, respectively.
India’s Sanju Samson surged 27 places to 39th after scoring consecutive centuries against Bangladesh and South Africa. Other notable moves include South Africa’s Reeza Hendricks, who rose two spots to 12th, and teammate Tristan Stubbs, who jumped 12 places to 26th.
In the bowlers’ rankings, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga climbed four spots to second, while England’s Adil Rashid held onto the top position. Akeal Hosein remained third, and India’s Ravi Bishnoi gained one place to seventh in the top 10.
Mitchell Santner (13th), Lockie Ferguson (15th), Jofra Archer (21st), and Matheesha Pathirana (joint 31st) all moved up in the rankings, while Varun Chakaravarthy broke into the top 100 at joint 64th. In the all-rounder rankings, Liam Livingstone remained No.1, with Wanindu Hasaranga (5th) and Romario Shephard (8th) making the top 10.
