After a good series against Australia at home, the talented batsman was in full flow finishing as the highest run-scorer for his side in the T20Is and ODIs. Rahul finished with 224 runs in the T20Is while he amassed 204 runs in the ODIs including a century in the third and final ODI at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
