Shoaib Akhtar shares Wasim Akram”s leaked video; says “I Support Him”

Former Pakistan Pacer Shoaib Akhtar shared a video of Wasim Akram in which the former captain talks about the condition of cricket in the country. In this video, Akram is consistently criticizing Pakistan Cricket Board. He says they make big claims about providing proper infrastructure but end up doing nothing.

Rawalpindi express also shared this video on his twitter account saying he supports his former captain. The former Pacer has always been vocal about performances and the cricket board and on how the facilities given by the cricket board should be better.

“Woi puraane tareeke (Same old ways)… ragad ke rakh dia hai (it has crushed us). Change karne ke liye thode tareeke badalne padte hain (To bring about a change, new methods should be introduced)… soch badalni padti hai (we have to change our thinking). Kuch naya bhi karlo bhai (try out some new things),” Akram can be heard saying in the video shared by Akhtar.

Akhtar was also in the news for supporting a former Pakistani off-spinner Danish Kaneria who was abused on being Hindu. Danish Kaneria was only the second Hindu to have played for Pakistan after uncle Anil Dalpat.

Shoaib Akhtar also credits Kaneria for his performances for Pakistan as he helped Pakistan win test series against England and various other series against India, Australia and the other big nations at home.

The Pacer also said that a player should always get a chance according to his merit if he is taking a bagful of wickets he should be allowed to play for the country.

Kaneria who played 61 test matches for Pakistan took 261 wickets for the team at an average of 34.79

“In my career, I fought with two-three (in the team) when they started talking on regionalism. Things like ‘who is from Karachi, Punjab or Peshawar’, that used to infuriate. So what if someone is a Hindu, he is doing well for the team.” The 44-year-old pacer from Rawalpindi said on TV.

Supporting Akhtar”s claim the former spinner Danish Kaneria said that he would take the names of the people who are responsible for the event and also said that he was very honoured to have played for Pakistan.
