England cricketer Sam Curran, the youngest of the Curran brothers (Tom, Ben, and Sam), shared a touching message congratulating his older brother Ben on his maiden national call-up to play for Zimbabwe in the ODI series against Afghanistan.
Sam took to X, writing, “Someone will be looking down with a huge smile,” likely alluding to their late father, Kevin Curran, a former Zimbabwean cricketer and head coach. Kevin, who played 11 ODIs for Zimbabwe and coached the national team from 2005 to 2007, tragically passed away in 2012 while jogging.
“Such special news, couldn’t be happier for you BC..Someone will be looking down with a huge smile on their face today,” Sam wrote.

Sam Curran has represented England in 117 matches across formats, scoring 1,768 runs and claiming 134 wickets. The eldest brother, Tom Curran, has featured in 60 matches across formats, scoring 433 runs and taking 65 wickets.
