In a surprising career shift, Ganguly has made his acting debut in a promotional advertisement for Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (Khakee 2), a Netflix web series.
The promo features him dressed as a police officer, hinting at a law enforcement role. His brief voiceover in the trailer adds to the intrigue, making fans eager to see his involvement in the show.
A New Role Beyond Cricket
The promo, shot at Kolkata’s Binodini Studio in Baruipur, quickly gained traction as images of Ganguly in uniform surfaced online. Although the extent of his role remains undisclosed, his cameo has generated immense excitement. The series, featuring acclaimed actors Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee, is backed by Sri Venkatesh Films. The series follows IPS officer Arjun Maitra, played by Karan Tacker, as he battles crime, political corruption, and systemic challenges.
