The veteran India pacer Sreesanth, who is all set to complete his seven-year ban on September later this year, has been in the news for quite some time now. Recently, Sreesanth slammed former teammate Robin Uthappa, for his ‘bowlers drop catches’ remark during an interview.
Sreesanth’s sitter to dismiss Misbah-ul-Haq to win the World T20 in 2007 is one of the iconic moments in Indian cricketing history. Recalling that famous catch, Uthappa had recently said that Sreesanth dropped easy catches. The veteran batsman went onto add that he had seen the Kerala cricketer drop catches.

However, it didn’t bode well with the aggressive fast bowler, who is waiting to make a comeback to cricket. Known for calling spade a spade, Sreesanth has brutally hit back at Robin Uthappa. He even claimed there were complaints from the junior cricketer that he had missed some sitters while playing for Kerala last season.
“I don’t know how many catches Uthappa took in his overall career, he played for Kerala last season, there were many complaints that he dropped many sitters. I will soon join and play alongside him in the Kerala team; and want to say to him, please don’t drop catches in my bowling,” Sreesanth said during an interactive session in the Helo app.
Sreesanth further went onto add that he will not spare Robin Uthappa if he drops catches off his bowling. The fast bowler added he has approximately missed 10-15 catches in his entire professional career and this kind of accusations are baseless.
“Juniors who played alongside you last season might not have told you anything when you dropped catches, but if you drop catches off my bowling, you know what I am going to do,” he added.
