Team India batter Virat Kohli draws inspiration from his past successes and learnings to do well in the future. In a recent interview, the veteran cricketer shared that learnings from the past have helped him to grow as a cricketer. He also added that every setback has helped him to bounce back stronger.

Virat Kohli was going through a prolonged lean patch in his career since 2019, till he broke the century drought in International cricket. He slammed his 71st International Century after a gap of over a thousand days. He has been in tremendous form across formats since then. Recently, he slammed his 29th Test century, scoring 121 off 206 against West Indies.

In an interview with the Indian Express, Virat Kohli shared that he reflects on his best performances and analyses the areas of improvement which help him to grow as a cricketer. He said.

“I draw inspiration from my past successes and learnings. Reflecting on the moments when I performed at my best and analyzing the areas where I can improve from losses helps me grow as a player. Every setback becomes an opportunity for me to come back stronger.”

“What has truly defined me as a person is my ability to stay resilient and keep pushing forward, no matter how difficult the circumstances. People will always have opinions and judgments, but I have learned to trust my instincts and have confidence in my abilities. This self-belief has been the driving force behind all my achievements on the cricket field,” he added.

Virat Kohli opens up on his workout and diet

Team India cricketer Virat Kohli has been a trendsetter in Indian cricket in terms of fitness. He brought a fitness revolution to the Indian team as modern-day cricket is hectic for a cricketer. In the interview with the Indian Express, Virat Kohli opened up on his workout and diet that he follows. He said,

“I engage in regular workouts, meditation, and mindfulness practices to keep my mind and body in sync. Additionally, spending quality time with my loved ones is vital for me to unwind and find emotional support. I make sure to follow a strict diet to stay in shape.”
