Rohit Sharma, who had led the recently victorious Indian team in T20 World Cup, might leave the Mumbai Indians by 2025 this year’s Indian Premier League season. Since last year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) got to know Hardik Pandya as our new captain; people are said to have started affairs that he could be sacked.
From a near source it emerged that Rohit is likely to join a new IPL team, before the auction commences. When Hardik Pandya was named as his IPL 2024 successor by the team, Rohit Sharma seemed to be the one disgruntled.
Regarding the article in Dainik Jagran, Rohit Sharma would then be available to play for the KKR, the winners of IPL 2024 and not the MI in the year 2025. Mumbai Indian has played in Indian Premier league for many seasons along with Rohit Sharma; like him, Suryakumar Yadav may also bid adieu to the team.
Rohit Sharma might join the GT or KKR in IPL 2025:
Rohit Sharma has not captained the Mumbai Indian in the last season, the team asked him to step down for Hardik Pandya. Even the players of the squad were not happy with this choice, MI fans were enraged with this decision by the management. As the signs show it, MI’s decision to set up the record can come back and bite them in the next season.
Rohit Sharma may be available in IPL 2025 playing for the Gujarat Titans or KKR if he terminates his contract with the Mumbai Indians.
Being one of the most successful captains of Indian Premier League IPL, Rohit Sharma has taken MI to claim five IPL titles. But after he performed dismally in the last tournament season, there have been speculations that he may be leaving the team.
This is the T20 World Cup history; Rohit Sharma joins MS Dhoni as the second Indian captain to win the cup. Like in India when soon after their victory in the championship match, Rohit shocked his fans by announcing his retirement.
Further, there can be the transfer of KL Rahul from the Lucknow Super Giants to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in which Virat Kohli is also present.
