The fierce Australian pacer Pat Cummins recently talked about his teammate Steve Smith. During a Question & Answer session on YouTube, Pat Cummins has named his Australian mate Steve Smith as the “most complete Test batsman.”
A fan asked Pat Cummins the question on the most complete Test batsman he has seen. The number one Test bowler said Steve Smith and pointed out his ability to adapt to any given condition. Also, he called Smith a problem solver. Pat Cummins asserted:

“I am going to be biased here. I am an Australian and have seen Steve Smith score hundreds here in Australia, in the fast and bouncy wicket, in South Africa where the wickets are green and its seams, in England against the swinging Duke’s ball and in spin fests in India. Steve Smith solves whatever problem he has in front of him. He’s better than anyone I have seen.”
Steve Smith is currently the number 2 ranked ICC Test batsman and is just behind Kane Williamson. The 32-year-old has scored 7,570 runs in 77 Test games at an average of 61.8. He averages 40+ in almost all the countries except Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Smith also averages 59.55 in England, a country where visiting batsmen find it difficult to score runs. Several big batsmen failed to maintain consistency in England. However, Smith is different he scores equal runs on every surface in the world.
The star Australian batter Steve Smith is just next to Sir Don Bradman in terms of batting average for any player with over 1500 Test runs. Also, he is placed just next to Don Bradman in all-time Test batsmen rankings with 947 rating points in his name.
Pat Cummins shares the name of his favorite all-rounder
The star pacer Cummins also shared the name of his favorite all-rounder. He named the man in red hot form Mitchell Marsh as his favorite all-rounder.
“My good mate Mitchell Marsh. Got to love him. Had a great series against the West Indies lately,” added Pat Cummins, the No.1 Test bowler.
Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh performed brilliantly in the recent T20I series West Indies. He scored 219 runs at an average of 43.8 and a strike rate over 150. Marsh also went on to pick 8 wickets at an average of 11 economy of just 6.76.
