Steve Smith, Australia’s Test proficient recently sold his mansion in Vaucluse for Rs. 98 crores (approx). Smith and his wife Dani Willis had bought the property back in 2020 for approximately Rs. 52.33 crores. The couple conducted an auction to sell the mansion and gained a massive revenue of Rs. 35 crores, approximately.
In addition, Vaucluse is an eastern suburb of Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Vaucluse is a residential suburb and was in the top five most expensive suburbs in Sydney, as of May 2017.
According to a report from smh.com.au, Smith had purchased the property for $6.6 million and has sold it for $12.38 million. The stats show that Smith received a huge amount of money as prices seem to be doubled in merely a couple of years.
Smith has been one of the highest-paid cricketers across the world and is Australia’s centrally contracted player, with a salary of about $1.3 million.
Smith was also a part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) setup from 2012 to 2021. The 33-year-old had joined Rajasthan Royals (RR) for a deal of INR 4 crore in 2014. Smith then, in 2018, was retained by the same franchise, but this time for a massive price of INR 12.50 crore. In 2021, Delhi Capitals (DC) bought the unorthodox batter for INR 2.20 crore.

Besides, Smith is currently in Sri Lanka, representing his national side in a multi-format tour. The Aussie Test deputy recently halted his century deficit in the ongoing Test against Sri Lanka, in Galle. Smith played an unbeaten knock of 145 runs in 272 deliveries, with 16 boundaries. This is Smith’s first international ton after his century in Sydney against India back in January 2021.
