Foakes has up to this point played 20 Tests for Britain, scoring 934 runs at a normal of 32.2. This includes two tons and four half-hundreds of years.
The 30-year-old arose as Britain’s best option wicketkeeper during Bairstow’s nonappearance because of an extended physical issue cutback. He has incurred 63 excusals, including six stumpings.
Bairstow, then again, has a superior history with the bat, scoring 5623 runs in 93 Tests, including 12 tons and 24 half-hundreds of years.
