Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings scripted a complete turnaround from IPL 2020. The MS Dhoni-led squad dominated the tournament and won 5 out of the 7 matches that they played in the 14th IPL season. They are at the 2nd spot when the tournament was stalled due to the crisis.
Suresh Raina scored 123 runs in the 6 innings that he played in the 2021 IPL season, and scored his runs at an average of 24.60 and a strike rate of 126.80. The left-hander also scored a solitary fifty in the tournament. On the other hand, English all-rounder Sam Curran also looked in a good rhythm with the ball. The left-arm pacer scalped 9 wickets and scalped them at an average of 24.11 and an excellent strike rate of 16.67.
