Veteran batsman Suresh Raina has been active on social media amid this lockdown due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. He has poured his heart out in every conversation. Recently, the star Chennai Super Kings cricketer picked his quarantine partners and there is no name of MS Dhoni in the list.
Raina and Dhoni share a great bond since his India days and then for the Chennai Super Kings. The cricketers from Uttar Pradesh works as a deputy in the Indian Premier League. He is one of the important factors behind Super Kings consistent run in the tournament. Due to the excellent bond they share, many believed Suresh Raina would obviously pick MS Dhoni as his quarantine partner.

However, that wasn’t the case through. The veteran cricketer went for all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as his partner in this lockdown. Raina and Jadeja have been part of the Chennai set-up since long apart from playing for India. He was one of the three players – along with Raina and Dhoni – Chennai Super Kings retained ahead of 2018 IPL auction.
“I would love to take Ravindra Jadeja. He is a good man. I love his company. He is a top man. I want to be in lockdown with him in his farmhouse… riding horses…I can give you the best food there. He has been doing a lot of hard work. Hope he does good performances for the country,” Raina told CSK.
Furthermore, Suresh Raina went with Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo when asked to pick his overseas quarantine partner. The veteran all-rounder had first joined Chennai in 2011. He also played under Raina at Gujarat Lions before moving back to CSK in 2018. Bravo along with Raina, MS Dhoni, and Ravindra Jadeja is the core group of Chennai squad.
