Team India pacer Prasidh Krishna is all praise for skipper Suryakumar Yadav, who is leading the country for the first time in International cricket in the ongoing T20I series against Australia. He has done a commendable job leading the team from the front. India has a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.
Suryakumar Yadav’s captaincy career has gotten off to a great start. He has earned praise from many for his leadership in the ongoing series. Prasidh Krishna expressed that the right-handed batter trusts his players, and supports them all the way through. He added that Suryakumar Yadav’s batting is a reflection of how he leads the team. Prasidh Krishna said as quoted by India Today,
“I think it shows in the way he (Suryakumar) bats is very similar in his captaincy as well. He trusts his players, backs all of us to do what we want to do and he’s there right behind us to support if there’s anything going wrong.”
“That’s been the name of the game and then that’s the word around freedom, go and execute your plans out there and everyone trusts each other in the team,” he added.
Being part of the World Cup squad was a massive learning: Prasidh Krishna
Prasidh Krishna replaced Hardik Pandya in India’s ICC ODI World Cup 2023 squad. The all-rounder suffered an injury and was ruled out of the tournament. Prasidh Krishna was part of the World Cup team, but couldn’t get a game. The pacer expressed that he benefited a lot from being part of the Indian World Cup team. He said,
“Being a part of the World Cup squad was a massive learning for me. That’s the biggest learning curve I’ve had since I’ve been a part of the team. I got to learn a lot about the way people prepare the amount of information that you can take, looking at the surface, the situation, the condition, the batsman and all of those things.”
Prasidh Krishna made a great comeback in the ongoing T20I series against Australia. He took three wickets conceding 41 runs in four overs in the second T20I. India won the match by 44 runs, as Australia failed to chase down 236. Praishd had conceded 50 runs from 4 overs, taking just 1 wicket in the first match.
