The 15 members of the team India who marked the 2024 T20 World Cup, with head coach Rahul Dravid, will get INR 5 crores each from the significant INR 125 crore prize declared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
According to the reports from the Indian Express, the members who did not participated in any matches will also get the reward, whereas substitute players will also get INR 1 crore each. Another important members such as the support staff, which includes batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, and fielding coach T Dilip, will each get INR 2.5 crore.
Additionally, the remainder of the support team—comprising three physiotherapists (Kamlesh Jain, Yogesh Parmar, and Thulasi Ram Yuvraj), three throwdown specialists (Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke, and Dayanand Garani), two masseurs (Rajeev Kumar and Arun Kanade), and the strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai—will be granted INR 2 crore each.
The 5 members of the selection committee, guided by chairman Ajit Agarkar, will each get INR 1 crore for their function in the noteworthy win.
Also, the remaining members of the 42-person contingent from India, such as video analysts, media officers, and the team’s logistics manager, are also set to receive recognition and rewards.
“Players and support staff have been informed about the amount of prize money they will be receiving from the BCCI and we have asked everyone to submit an invoice,” a BCCI source told the Indian Express.
The prize given by BCCI for the 2024 T20 World Cup champions far surpass the totals given to Team India players following their winning in the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy, where players taken INR 2 crore and INR 1 crore specifically.

The ICC declared a maximum reward total of $11.25 million for the 2024 T20 World Cup, alongside India getting $2.45 million as champions. The BCCI’s prize is extra to the prize sum given by the ICC.
“I am pleased to announce prize money of INR 125 Crores for Team India for winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The team has showcased exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and support staff for this outstanding achievement!” Jay Shah had posted on X.
Some members have also received prize money from their respective state governments.
