The Indian men’s cricket team will return to New Delhi at the morning of Wednesday, July 3 after clinching their second T20 World Cup name after a 17-yr wait in the very last towards South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, No doubt approximately it.They had been struck in by a typhoon within the Caribbean, preserving them in Barbados for a couple of days.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has arranged a special chartered flight to carry the whole group to India. Known as AIC24WC (Air India Champions 24 World Cup), this special Air India flight took off at 4:50 am local time on Wednesday, with players and support of BCCI the flight is scheduled to land in New Delhi at 6:20 am IST Thursday.

The flight, in the beginning, was scheduled to depart Barbados at 6 pm neighbourhood time on July 2 and arrive in New Delhi by way of 7:45 pm IST. The flight got cancelled because of the past arrival of the Air India flight to Barbados. After returning to India, the team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 9:30 am, where a -hour felicitation ceremony is scheduled. The team then flies to Mumbai on some other chartered flight.


A report by India Today suggested that the team will fly to Wankhede Stadium after landing in Mumbai. The unfastened bus parade will start on Wednesday at 5 pm IST. At the presentation sight in the stadium, Indian captain Rohit Sharma will hand over the T20 World Cup trophy to BCCI secretary Jai Shah.

The trophy will continue to be on the BCCI headquarters for the subsequent two years. The players are anticipated to go back home on Wednesday evening. However, another report by Dainik Jagran suggests that the open bus parade may be postponed to Friday due to the exhaustion the players might face from the long flight and the felicitation ceremony.
