The flight got cancelled because of the past arrival of the Air India flight to Barbados. After returning to India, the team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 9:30 am, where a -hour felicitation ceremony is scheduled. The team then flies to Mumbai on some other chartered flight.
A report by India Today suggested that the team will fly to Wankhede Stadium after landing in Mumbai. The unfastened bus parade will start on Wednesday at 5 pm IST. At the presentation sight in the stadium, Indian captain Rohit Sharma will hand over the T20 World Cup trophy to BCCI secretary Jai Shah.
The trophy will continue to be on the BCCI headquarters for the subsequent two years. The players are anticipated to go back home on Wednesday evening. However, another report by Dainik Jagran suggests that the open bus parade may be postponed to Friday due to the exhaustion the players might face from the long flight and the felicitation ceremony.
