“Theek Hai Bat Le Lena” – India’s Captain Suryakumar Yadav Shares a Story Featuring Rinku Singh Ahead of the T20I Matches Against Sri Lanka

Suryakumar Yadav was declared Captain of Team India’s T20I recently. The beginning of Gautam Gambhir’s reign as Head Coach of the Indian cricket team is symbolised by India’s tour of Sri Lanka. Indian cricket is changing with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement from T20Is and it will be tough for both SKY and Gambhir to prepare the team before the 2026 edition OF T20 World Cup.

Recently, India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav’s official Instagram profile saw him post a picture of Rinku Singh suggesting that he bats better than the one-year-old woman in question. This was after a viral video showing how Rinku tried getting one Vijat Kohli’s cricket bats during IPL surfaced online sometime back this year. The cheeky caption accompanying this picture read:

“Theek hai bat le lena” (Okay, you can have the bat).

Above this paragraph, he attached a GIF that contained the message ‘God Plans’. In the last few months, Rinku became known for using these words particularly when he congratulated Kolkata Knight Riders on winning the IPL trophy recently.

Here is the screenshot of the story:

Suryakumar Yadav will captain India in the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka

In upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka, Suryakumar Yadav shall take the reins from Rohit Sharma and lead India. His deputy will be Shubman Gill who is the captain of Gujarat Titans in that series.

During the just ended ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Hardik Pandya was made vice-captain, a development that made many believe he would be appointed the captain in waiting; not so surprisingly; the Mumbai Indian captain seems to be left out in this important line-up as he has not been considered at all due to his workload and health status.
