Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are tying the knot on December 12. The Indian skipper has been rested from ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka. The grand wedding is going to take place at Milan, Italy. After the wedding, a grand reception will be hosted at JW Marriott, Mumbai on December 22.
But which of Virat”s teammates are going to make their presence felt on this very important day? A close source has said that the wedding is going to be a private affair and not many people are invited.
“Everything was decided almost 3-4 months ago. The priest picked up the December wedding and they wanted to keep it low key. Both the families sat together and laid down the plan of how they want to do it,” the source added.
The Indian team will be playing ODI series against Sri Lanka and hence the Indian cricketers will be on national duty. However, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh are likely to go to Milan to attend Virat”s wedding.
Virat”s coach Rajkumar Sharma is also going to be present. He left a crucial CK Nayudu U-23 semi-final game that Delhi was supposed to play against Tamil Nadu at the Airforce Complex ground in Palam on Friday, December 8.
In 2016 a news of their fallout broke out when they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Last year, a news broke out which said the couple is going to tie the knot on January 1 this year. Virat denied the reports of any marriage back then. Both of them came together in a Manyavar advertisement while enthralled all the fans. The advertisement was a big hit.
Virat Kohli has had a very successful 2017 with the bat. He is the leading run scorer in ODI cricket with 1460 runs from 26 matches at an average of 76.84. He also has 5 triple-digit scores in test cricket (3 double test centuries and 2 centuries) to go with.
