Team India are getting criticized for their poor performance in this ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Men in Blue have lost both of the fixtures against Pakistan and New Zealand, and are on the verge of getting eliminated from the Mega Event. It hurts all the fans and people of the world, after all, Men in Blue entered the tournament as favourites.

Many Cricket experts have come out and had their say on the Poor batting and bowling performance of team India. The batting group have struggled to put runs on board time and time, and the bowling group have struggled to chock the batters with their stock delivery. Overall it’s been a very poor performance for Virat Kohli and his men.

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram is also not happy with India’s poor show. He also slammed the players and the board to negligent International series, and only focus on the Indian Premier League (IPL). Akram also said, performing in the IPL and in the international series are different, and India has lacked match practise of International matches ahead of this T20 World Cup.

“India last played a limited-overs series with all the senior players in March. Now we are in November. So that shows they are not taking those international series seriously. They think playing the IPL is enough,” Akram said on A Sports following India’s defeat to New Zealand.

“You play as much league cricket in the world that you want. While playing league cricket, you will find one or two good bowlers in the opposition. In international cricket, you will face all five good bowlers,” he added.

India’s fate hangs by the thread

Besides, India now have three games to play in the league stage. While they need to win all these fixtures with a high net Run Rate, the Men in Blue now also need to depend upon other match results in order to qualify for the semifinals of the ICC T20 World Cup.
