On the last night of the tournament, India was about to lose to South Africa, but the bowlers performed a miracle in the final five overs, turning India into a party hotspot.
To celebrate with the players, thousands of supporters flocked to Delhi and Mumbai. On Marine Drive, in particular, spectators joined the winners as they completed the victory lap at Wankhede Stadium. The players entertained the stadium’s spectators with dances, renditions of “Maa Tujhe Salam,” and stories of their triumphant T20 World Cup.
